1. Objectives

Every SEO campaign should be measured in terms of Google 1st page rankings. More than 80 % of regular users don´t go to the second page of Google, so we need to place searched keywords into the first page in order to drive traffic to the site.

After the Keyword Research is done, I will select a group of 5-10 keywords to rank. Once we are close to getting them into the first page, we can think of the second set of keywords.

Expected Time Frame

SEO is a slow process. Even if we want to rank “easy” keywords (keywords with very few searches and low competition), it can take 1-2 months to get them into the first page of Google. Even more, trying to rank more difficult keywords can take several months sometimes +1 year to accomplish a 1st-page ranking.

PPC is completely different. We can be in the first position within hours. If we pay what Google asks for, we can be at the top. The great thing about SEO is that once we achieve 1st-page rankings, it´s much easier (and cheaper) to maintain them. With PPC, you have to keep spending money to keep the position. So depending on the difficulty of the keyword, the time that will take to achieve 1st-page rankings.

2. Plan

The phases that I need to follow to accomplish the objectives are:

1) Planning and Preparation Keyword Research  

Optimizing your website for the major search engines must include keyword research. Each page needs to be optimized for a particular keyword or keyword phrase so that people searching on those phrases will see your site ranked high in the search engines. In order to properly optimize your site, I need to identify what the best keywords would be for every page of your website.

Competitive Analysis

In order to compete, you need to know what your competition is doing. They are targeting certain keywords in order to attract buyers, and these must be taken into account. Many of your competitors will likely also have inbound links from other websites. This is important to identify because you’ll want your website linked at some of those places as well.

2) On Page Optimization

This is an essential part of the SEO campaign. Each page needs to be modified to properly utilize and reflect the selected keywords, That way, each page is optimized for the search engines individually.

I will check your site looking for :

– Titles

– URLs

– Meta Keywords, Meta Descriptions

– H1 Tags

– Alt tags

3) Off-Page Optimization

All of the SEO tasks described before this point are critical in optimizing your site for the search engines. But they are still only part of the equation. The major search engines, especially Google, qualify a website on more than just on-page optimization. They actually check to see who is linking to a site, in order to grade your overall score.

Search engines often use the number of backlinks that a website has as one of the most important factors for determining that website’s search engine ranking, popularity, and importance.
